The 10,500-square-foot Fitness Center is proof to their commitment to this concept. As you walk through the facility, you’re captivated by the picturesque views of the Club’s tropical beauty. There are basic free weights, kettlebells, medicine balls and TRX in the Functional Training Zone. The Cardio section includes favorites like treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers and skiers and their new strength line, Technogym Selections. Since body conditioning extends beyond equipment, the Fitness Center includes a separate Stretching Zone, Aerobics Room, separate Mind Body and Yoga studios, Spinning and Pilates studios complete with Gyrotonic. In addition, the facility includes his and hers locker rooms complete with, a steam room, sauna, and relaxation rooms. To top it off, the club also offers an on-site Physical Therapist! If you prefer to be outdoors, there is walking, jogging and a biking path with stretching stations along the way.
One of the amenities that sets St. Andrews apart from other clubs is their comprehensive Pilates studio, with Reformers, Cadillacs, Ladder Barrels and all the equipment necessary to help you understand why Pilates has been recognized around the world as a key component to a strong, lean and flexible body. Carol Gallner, the Pilates Coordinator is celebrating her 30th anniversary with the Club.
The personal trainers at St. Andrews are selected for their expertise in physiology however, equally important is their ability to encourage and motivate the members. The trainers keep members enthusiastic and help make sure your fitness goals are successful.
The Recreation & Aquatic Center features three salt water pools that are heated and cooled year round to ensure the perfect temperature is always achieved. St. Andrews also offers a lighter, casual fare, complimented by pool side service from Café Blue. The Junior Olympic Pool host numerous Aquatics classes and lap swimming, while the Adult Plunge Pool is just a relaxing place to cool off and visit with friends, and of course the Activity Pool, featuring pop jets and luminary water jets keep the kids entertained all day long. There is also a Splash Club game room for kids designed to be an educational, interactive destination with creative stations for younger children, three flat-screen TV’s, thermo sensitive Touch Wall Panels, state-of-the-art gaming systems, arcade games and so much more.
